The Obama/Oprah Effect

This week-end the Carolinas and NH set the stage for huge moments in American Political History. The Billionaire Media Mogul Oprah joined forces with The Presidential Candidate Obama in a campaign tour being described as part rock concert and part religious revival.

This is the first time Ms. Winfrey has openly endorsed a political candidate and the first time Mr. Obama (sometimes described as inexperienced) has set his sights on becoming the "Agent of Change" America needs.

The question is, are Obama's possibilities better now than they would have been before given the present state of the economy, social frustration, technology, and overall fatigue with the system in general? Or would Obama be the Man for the job even if we were in times of prosperity? Finally, has the Obama/Oprah Team changed your impression of either for good or bad?

Skeptics are questioning whether Miss Winfrey will be able to parlay her influence into Oval Office Success. Only time will tell and in many ways the impossible is already happening so, we'll see what '08 will bring.
