Boston votes: Stumping for Clinton

Sal DiMasi, speaker of the Massachusetts House and open supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential bid, couldn't be prouder. Amid the tangled streets of his North End Boston constituency, Judi Lanza maintains camp into the chilly evening.

This Goffstown, N.H., nurse took the day off work to travel to Boston to sway voters at the last moment legal -- at the door to the polling place.

"Turnout has been good," she remarks, although she admits that she's waiting for the evening rush.

Health care is, of course, a principal reason for Lanza's participation this year (it's her first time on a campaign). But she also admires Clinton's experience, especially her numerous forays abroad during her husband's presidency.

Lanza may have a better view of the candidate than most Bostonians: in an effort to woo undecided New Hampshire voters, Clinton paid Lanza's home a personal visit last November.

"We need someone who has the support already in place," Lanza says, "to start the job right away."
